Mediterranean Cruise, Day 1...BARCELONA, contd.

In the gothic district, we visited the Cathedral Santa Eulalia. It was built in the 1300's and it's the largest cathedral in Spain.

The church is under major renovation right now, so this picture shows the front with all the scaffolding & the screen they have hung up announcing the restoration & showing what it normally looks like (we thought that was pretty funny)...

We walked all around the outside of the building (it is HUGE)....

Then we walked into the cloister area....

and we saw many altars, memorials & statues, including these....

And we also walked around the beautiful inner gardens....

Check back soon for the rest of our pictures from Barcelona!
