OUR BOAT

Some of you know we have had a boat for quite a few years. We bought it at Deep Creek Lake the summer after my dad died, so we named it the "Paw-Paw", in his honor.
We had lots of fun and made some great memories over the years with friends & family...mostly around the Chesapeake Bay & local rivers, but also up at Deep Creek Lake, down at Smith Mountain Lake and we even took it with us to Sunset Beach a couple years.
Well, the "Paw-Paw" is getting on in age & has needed some work the last couple years, consequently we haven't used it much lately. But this year we decided to shell out the big bucks & get it back in shape.
So, after a few weeks at the marina getting a major mechanical overhaul, and a couple days at the mechanic's getting the trailer worked on too, it's just about ready to hit the water again (just needs a good cleaning and a few aesthetic touches now)...and we plan on enjoying it quite a bit this summer!
THIS is the reason for the new life jacket for Elaina! Because, of course, we plan to have Ryan & Jen & Elaina with us often! Hope she will like it!
