Special Olympics Fundraiser

Paul is very involved in the Special Olympics organization. It started when he was on the department, because police officers always run the torch before the games, and hand out medals to the athletes at the award ceremonies. He's loved the people he has met & the difference this makes in the lives of everyone who participates. Last year he was invited to Dallas, to attend the international convention, representing our county for Maryland. This year he has gotten involved in fundraising. Since Harley-Davidson is such a faithful supporter, he came up with the idea of auctioning a special bike for the cause.

They donated this really cool
BALTIMORE RAVENS bike, signed
by all the players. He brought it home to show us, before heading off to the first fundraiser.

And, of course, Elaina wanted to "test it out" before Grandpa took it away
(her mommy IS a big Ravens fan, after all!)....

On two different Friday nights in May, at two different Texas Roadhouse restaurants, they sold raffle tickets for the motorcycle & t-shirts for Special Olympics.

Here is a picture of Paul at the Bowie Texas Roadhouse,
with the owner & managers....

And a picture of Paul with the lovely (all ladies!) managers at the Pasadena Texas Roadhouse....

They all had a really good time, and raised lots
of money for a great cause!
